YSRCP exposes Eenadu’s criminal legacy and biased journalism

Tadepalli, May 19: The YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) has condemned Eenadu newspaper for its criminal history and malicious campaign against YSRCP president and former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Speaking here on Monday, State Joint Secretary Karumuri Venkata Reddy criticised Eenadu for thriving on unethical practices, including the forcible seizure of Margadarsi Chit Fund shares.  “Cherukuri Ramoji Rao, recommended by Kondapalli Seetaramaiah, joined J.J. Reddy’s firm, launched Margadarsi with J.J. Reddy’s funds, and later threatened J.J. Reddy’s son with a gun to grab 268 shares. The FIR against Ramoji Rao and Sailaja Kiran is proof,” Reddy asserted.

Venkata Reddy slammed Eenadu for acting as a propaganda tool for Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and the TDP, targeting YS Jagan with fabricated stories. “Today’s front-page claim of a YSRCP liquor mafia is a lie. Eenadu promotes Naidu’s agenda while ignoring his liquor scams,” he said. He cited Eenadu’s history of deceit, including false reports against Swagruha Foods to boost Priya Pickles and seizing farmers’ lands for Ramoji Film City while blocking village access. Venkata Reddy also debunked Eenadu’s attempt to link YSRCP’s Krishna Mohan Reddy to Monica Bedi’s fake passport. “Tahsildars and SPs don’t verify passports. Eenadu’s own report admits field officers cleared it, yet it spreads venom,” he said.

Naidu’s government prioritized liquor over progress, introducing brands like Sumo Whisky and Royal Lancer while causing a Rs. 3,000 crore revenue loss. “YS Jagan built schools, clinics, and secretariats. Naidu brings belt shops to every street, even near temples”. Naidu re-inaugurates YS Jagan’s projects, fails to attract industries, and dodges welfare queries, using Eenadu’s “organized media terrorism”, backed by thousands of YouTube channels and paid websites, to distract people.

To fight Eenadu’s slander and Naidu’s failures. “We will expose this yellow journalism and demand accountability for the people,”  Venkata Reddy declared.
