YSRCP commemorates Gurram Jashuva’s death anniversary

Tadepalli, July 24: YSRCP party organized a solemn event at its central office to mark the death anniversary of the revered poet and social reformer, Gurram Jashuva. Party leaders paid their tributes by garlanding his statue, honoring his enduring legacy as a literary icon and champion of social justice.

YSRCP President and former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, in a heartfelt message, stated: “Gurram Jashuva, the poet-emperor of the modern era, sowed the seeds of social revolution through his poetry. He was a remarkable figure who boldly stood against injustice and wrote passionately for the rights of Dalits. On his death anniversary, we offer our tributes to this great soul.”

The event was attended by prominent YSRCP leaders, including former Ministers Taneti Vanitha, Adimulapu Suresh, and Sake Sailajanath, MLC Mondithoka Arun Kumar, YSRCP SC Cell State President TJR Sudhakar Babu, and party leaders Rajasekhar, Kommoori Kanakarao, and MLC Lella Appireddy, along with leaders from the party’s affiliated wings.

The program underscored contributions of Gurram Jashuva, whose powerful writings continue to inspire the fight for equality and justice.
