Proddatur, November 06: YSRCP former MLA Rachamalla Sivaprasad Reddy strongly condemned MLA Adinarayana Reddy for making derogatory and baseless comments against YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and his family, stating the remarks were aimed purely at pleasing Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and diverting public attention from the coalition government’s failures.
Speaking to the media at his camp office in Proddatur, Sivaprasad Reddy said that at a time when the state is reeling from administrative collapse, halted welfare schemes, and the devastation caused by Cyclone Montha, Adinarayana Reddy has chosen to “spew venom instead of addressing people’s suffering.” He pointed out that Aarogyasri is defunct, fee reimbursement has been stopped, forcing students out of colleges, and farmers affected by the cyclone have received no assistance, leaving the government unable to answer public outrage
He strongly objected to dragging Mrs. YS Bharathi into political mudslinging, noting she has never interfered in politics or governance and has instead dedicated herself to social service, running schools for thousands of poor and differently-abled children in Pulivendula. “Targeting a woman of such impeccable character, purely for political favour, shows the moral bankruptcy of leaders like Adinarayana Reddy,” he said.
Rejecting all malicious allegations, Sivaprasad Reddy recalled that Dr. YSR himself uplifted the Adinarayana Reddy family, yet gratitude has been replaced with opportunism and disrespect. He dismissed comments linking YS Jagan to the Viveka case as “senseless and irresponsible rhetoric from those who once lived by factionism and violence.”
Despite the combined strength of TDP, Jana Sena, and BJP, YS Jagan secured 40% vote share while contesting alone, he noted. “We lost like a wounded lion, and the lion will roar again in 2029,” he said, adding that YS Jagan remains one of the most popular leaders in the country, as reflected in the massive “Jai Jagan” chants wherever he goes.
Warning TDP leaders against personal attacks, he said YSRCP will not remain silent if YS Bharathi is targeted again.
