Naidu betrayed dalits again

Tadepalli , 28 September: At the Gurram Jashuva Jayanti programme organized at the YSRCP central office in Tadepalli under the leadership of MLC and party office in-charge Lella Appi Reddy, leaders launched a scathing attack on Chandrababu Naidu for his anti-Dalit stance.

Lella Appi Reddy said YSR and YS Jagan created an “education revolution” through fee reimbursement and Nadu-Nedu school modernization, but Chandrababu systematically dismantled it, halted works, and is now privatizing medical colleges built for poor students.
SC Cell State President & former MLA TJR Sudhakar Babu recalled that while Jashuva fought caste discrimination through his writings, Chandrababu humiliated Dalits by cancelling 54,000 housing plots in Amaravati and once shamelessly questioned, “Who would want to be born a Dalit?” He reminded that YS Jagan’s rule delivered Rs. 69,848 crore worth of welfare to SCs, which the present coalition scrapped.
Working President Kanaka Rao said the coalition regime is attacking Dalits in every sector—education, healthcare, industry, ports, and even temple lands—using police, false cases, and repression to silence voices.
Former Minister Velampalli Srinivas, Legal Cell President Manohar Reddy, and Working President Jalla Sudarshan Reddy also condemned TDP’s history of caste insults, citing past derogatory remarks by TDP leaders against Dalits.
YSRCP announced statewide protests on September 30 at Ambedkar statues across district headquarters against the coalition’s anti-Dalit policies.
