Jogi Ramesh's arrest exposes governance collapse;

TDP running vindictive rule, people suffering

Kadapa, Nov 3: YSRCP State General Secretary S.V. Satish Reddy today condemned the illegal arrest of former minister Jogi Ramesh, stating that the incident raises a fundamental question: Is anyone safe in Andhra Pradesh today under TDP’s vindictive rule?
Satish Reddy said the SIT’s conduct is shameful and alarming for democracy. Acting solely on the statement of Janardhan Rao,  an accused in the liquor scam,  and arresting Jogi Ramesh without a shred of credible evidence is nothing but political revenge, he asserted.
“If this is the logic of governance, will Chandrababu Naidu be arrested tomorrow if any petty criminal just takes his name? The entire state knows the liquor mafia operated under the direct influence of TDP leaders. Instead of arresting the real culprits, they target the innocent for political vendetta,” he said.
He criticised the government for abandoning farmers and scrapping MSP mechanisms that flourished under YS Jagan’s administration. “Farmers are now dumping their crops in canals out of desperation, and this government does not even care,” he added.
Satish Reddy said employees are in deep crisis, students have been denied fee reimbursement, and the healthcare system has collapsed due to non-payment of Aarogyasri bills. “While people are suffering, the Chief Minister is busy touring abroad in the name of investments. What benefit has even one foreign trip brought to AP?” he questioned.
He noted that not a single new pension has been issued in 18 months, despite tall claims. “This government only knows ‘Performance Week & Propaganda Peak’, but has zero performance on the ground.”

Calling out TDP’s false propaganda on the Google Data Center, Satish Reddy said: “They claimed 1.8 lakh jobs but can’t guarantee even 200, yet they gifted Rs. 22,000 crore benefits. Other states are laughing at such decisions.”
He also questioned the CM over power purchases and fuel taxes. “They criticised when YS Jagan bought power at Rs. 2.49/unit, but now they are purchasing at Rs. 3/unit. Who is pocketing the difference? Petrol prices have skyrocketed due to state taxes. In Kuppam, petrol bunks have shut down and people are going to Karnataka,” he said.
Satish Reddy slammed the TDP government for celebrating cricket more than governance. “They behaved as if India won the World Cup because of Chandrababu Naidu’s blessings. This is the height of delusion.”

“Driven by personal hatred, they arrested Jogi Ramesh. Meanwhile, in the name of investments, the CM is quietly grabbing lands worth crores. If arrests were made by the same standards used against Jogi Ramesh, not a single TDP leader would remain outside jail,” he asserted.
“This is not governance, this is vengeance, institutional collapse, and betrayal of people’s trust,” Satish Reddy concluded.
