Illegal cases cannot dilence truth, DGP acting as political agent of TDP, must resign

Tadepalli, Oct 15: YSRCP MLC Tumati Madhav Rao and YSRCP Legal Cell president Manohar Reddy condemned the fascist actions of the coalition government, misusing the police system to suppress media freedom and silence voices questioning corruption.

They said the state government, unable to implement its Super Six promises and trapped in the spurious liquor scam, has filed 17 illegal cases against Sakshi Media to divert public attention. They alleged that the government is plotting to illegally arrest Sakshi Editor Dhananjay Reddy, with police teams being sent to Hyderabad in violation of legal procedures
The leaders said fake liquor factories are operating like cottage industries across the state, and thousands of belt shops are openly selling illicit liquor, destroying poor families. Instead of acting on this mafia, the police are filing false cases against journalists, social media warriors, and YSRCP leaders exposing the scam.
They reminded that even the High Court reprimanded the DGP multiple times for violating fundamental rights and misusing police powers. “The police have become slaves to ruling party leaders and are acting like TDP workers. If the DGP has any morality left, he must resign immediately,” they demanded.
They said the coalition government cannot silence truth with intimidation. “Sakshi is being targeted only because it exposed fake liquor mafia and medical college privatization scams. This diversion politics will not work. YSRCP will continue to fight for people’s rights and media freedom,” they declared.
