Floor Demands Disciplinary Action Against Chandrababu For Rude Remarks

AMARAVATI: The treasury bench demanded disciplinary action against opposition leader and TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu for making derogatory remarks against Speaker Tammineni Sitaram during the question hour on the third day of the Andhra Pradesh Winter Assembly sessions, on Wednesday.

After the Speaker took serious note of Chandrababu’s comments, YSRCP member Ambati Rambabu appealed to the Speaker to take action against the opposition leader who used unparliamentary words against the chair. Lashing out at Chandrababu, the YSRCP MLA said that Chandrababu often claims that he is having 40 years of experience in politics and also worked 14 years as Chief Minister, but he does not know how to respect the chair. Amabti hit out at Chandrababu for his remarks and demanded that he withdraw his comments on Speaker immediately. “After serving 14 years as Chief Minister, doesn't he know how to behave in Assembly?”-Ambati asked.

Jogi Ramesh, another member from treasury bench said that Chandrababu has insulted Speaker, who belongs to backward community. “Insulting the Speaker means insulting the entire backward classes in the state. I request the chair to take action against Chandrababu immediately and also expunge the word used by him”-Ramesh added.

Another YSRCP member Meruga Nagarjuna described Chandrababu’s action as nothing but murdering the democracy. He said that having long experience in politics, Chandrababu has to maintain decorum and decency and also follow the rules of the house. He further stated that an MLA like Chandrababu is not entitled to be present in the House and appealed to the Speaker to suspend him.
