*YSRCP demands CBI probe*
Nellore, May 23: YSRCP MLC Parvathareddy Chandrasekhar Reddy alleged that Mega DSC–2025 was marred by large-scale irregularities, corruption, and manipulation at every stage, and demanded a CBI probe into the recruitment process.
Speaking to the media in Nellore, he alleged that despite promising Mega DSC as a major initiative, the Chandrababu Naidu government drastically reduced the number of teacher posts and conducted the recruitment in a non-transparent manner. He claimed that audio clips related to the scam are already in circulation and alleged that teacher posts were sold for nearly Rs.15 lakh each.
He said irregularities occurred from notification issuance to question paper preparation, merit lists, certificate verification, and appointment letters. He alleged that Sports Quota jobs were allotted even without mandatory B.Ed and TET qualifications, violating recruitment rules and Supreme Court guidelines.
The MLC questioned why merit lists were removed from the website and why selected candidates were informed only through SMS. He referred to an SCERT outsourcing employee named Naveen, who was allegedly involved in DSC operations and later emerged as a top-rank holder, triggering controversy. He alleged that the government deleted merit lists and hurriedly completed appointments despite the matter reaching the High Court.
Parvathareddy Chandrasekhar Reddy further alleged that candidates were denied jobs after certificate verification to accommodate favoured individuals under the Sports Quota. He also referred to viral audio recordings in which middlemen allegedly demanded Rs.15 lakh for teacher jobs through WhatsApp calls.
Demanding a CBI inquiry, he accused the government of playing with the future of nearly 3.5 lakh aspirants and said the teaching profession itself had been tainted by corruption under the present recruitment process.
