Coalition govt. giving land at throwaway prices
13 Dec 2025 10:04 AM

Visakhapatnam, Dec 12: YSRCP has reiterated that the coalition government is giving away prime land at throwaway prices in the city and asserted that what YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has been saying about Vizag is now being repeated by Chandrababu Naidu.
Speaking to the media here on Friday, former minister Gudivada Amarnath said that YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s government did not give land at such low prices to any industrialist, yet Infosys still came to Vizag due to the efforts of our leader. It was YS Jagan Mohan Reddy who was instrumental in bringing Infosys to the city, and now others are following. TCS coming to the city was also the result of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s effort.
But even then, we did not give away prime land to real estate companies at dirt-cheap prices nor did we promote the purchase of residential apartments being built by them.
The Lulu Group shelled out crores of rupees to buy land in Gujarat but has been paying a nominal price in our State. How many jobs were created after the coalition came to power, he questioned, and asked how much government money was spent to promote Lokesh for publicity.
When our leader said that Vizag would be made the executive capital, the propaganda machinery spread negative stories, but now the media is elevating Vizag. With this, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s stand has been vindicated, he said, adding that Chandrababu is taking all the credit while relegating junior partners to a minimal role.
