Botsa Slams TDP Government For Rampant Corruption

Vijayawada: AP minister for Municipal Administration, Botsa Satyanarayana criticised the TDP for rampant corruption in its tenure and said that Chandrababu Naidu and his cabinet colleagues resorted to rampant corruption with regard to welfare schemes related to the poor. He pointed out that while a square foot of a plot was Rs. 1100 during the TDP era, they collected Rs. 2300. Botsa added that the TDP government took credit for 25 lakh houses built during Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy's tenure. He pointed out that under the TDP government only 7 lakh houses had been built.

Botsa slammed the TDP government for hiking up costs of construction of houses in the name of technology. The Chandrababu government unleashed a massive propaganda blitz, he said. He flayed former minister, Narayana for spreading canards about the YSRCP government saying it had given contracts at Rs. 1600 per square foot. Botsa recalled Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's statement that the poor should be given houses without taking a rupee from them. The minister said that the YSRCP government would place a detailed record of TDP corruption in this respect before the people of the state and the money looted by TDP leaders would be recovered.
