East Godavari: Expressing gratitude to Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy for announcing fee reimbursement to those pursuing engineering and other professional courses, Kakinada Institute of Engineering and Technology students took out a huge rally in Korangi village under Tallarevu mandal in East Godavari district on Saturday. As many as 1,500 students and staff from the college held placards that read 'Thank you CM' and 'Thank you Jagan' slogans.
Speaking on the occasion, college chairman Potula Venkata Vishwam said that the former chief minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy deserved praise for initiating fee reimbursement scheme to ensure that students from poor and marginalised sections received higher education without any hassle.
Visham appreciated Chief Minister YS Jagan for following in the footsteps of his father YSR. He lavished praise on YS Jagan for not just announcing fee reimbursement, but for additionally providing Rs 20,000 for hostel and mess charges.
