Is Kakinada SEZ Legal

Pithapuram (East Godavari): Leader of Opposition in Andhra Pradesh legislative assembly and YSR Congress Party President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy demanded to know if the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) that was being built on the lands of the farmers was legal or illegal.
The expats of Kakinada SEZ had met YS Jagan, who is on his mass outreach programme, Praja Sankalpa Yatra here today and expressed their woes. They said that the government had forcibly taken away their land in the name of SEZ and were harassing people who resisted the Government move. They wanted to know if the SEZ being developed on their lands was legal.
The expats said that before elections, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu had promised to stand by them. After elections, the government was framing false cases against the expats who protested. They sought the help of YSRCP Chief to get back their lands if the SEZ was illegal. All the people who had come to meet YS Jagan said that justice would be done to them only if YSRCP comes to power.
