“CM, Lokesh whereabouts not known
Tadepalli, Jan 2,: YSR Congress Party spokesperson Karumuri Venkata Reddy has strongly questioned the mysterious absence of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and his son, Minister Nara Lokesh, who have remained untraceable for the past four days, triggering widespread public debate and social media discussion. Addressing the media at the YSRCP central office in Tadepalli, he said it is shocking that even the government machinery has failed to provide clarity on the whereabouts of the Chief Minister and the Minister, and demanded that the Chief Secretary and DGP immediately inform the public.
He said that despite holding the highest constitutional and executive positions, both Chandrababu Naidu and Lokesh are maintaining secrecy over their foreign travel, raising serious doubts and concerns. Even pro-government yellow media has failed to clearly state where they have gone. TDP workers themselves are reportedly searching for their leaders, as the duo remained inaccessible even for New Year greetings. Such secrecy, he said, is unbecoming of people holding responsible public offices.
Karumuri Venkata Reddy stated that within just one year of coming to power, the coalition government has pushed the state into a debt burden of Rs. 2.93 lakh crore without fulfilling a single promise made to the people. Chief Minister looting public resources and diverting them through benamis and repeated foreign trips are meant to stash away ill-gotten wealth abroad. He pointed out that Chandrababu Naidu travels abroad once every three months, while Lokesh does so every two months, often using special chartered flights.
He stated that on December 30, 2025, while devotees across the state were observing Vaikuntha Ekadasi, Chandrababu Naidu allegedly flew from Shamshabad at 10:28 AM in a special flight (VJT-101), reportedly to Bali, even as sections of the media speculated about London. Similarly, Lokesh is said to have skipped a cabinet meeting and flown out on December 28, 2025, via Cathay Pacific to Hong Kong. The government, however, has offered no official clarification on their destinations or return dates, raising serious questions about accountability and transparency.
He pointed out that since assuming office, Chandrababu Naidu has already undertaken at least six foreign trips, including visits to Dubai, Abu Dhabi, London, Davos, Europe, Singapore and now reportedly Bali, with some trips involving family members and kept completely secret. Lokesh, he said, has already made around nine foreign visits to destinations such as the US, Europe, Davos, Dubai, Australia, Singapore, London, Dallas and Canada. Even now, TDP leaders themselves are unaware of where Lokesh currently is.
Karumuri Venkata Reddy further said that the coalition government has turned into a hub of corruption and lawlessness, with several MLAs facing serious allegations. Crimes, atrocities, violence against women and abuse of power are becoming rampant under the coalition regime. He referred to disturbing developments in the Sri Kalahasti case, where the murder of driver Rayudu has exposed internal power struggles between TDP and Jana Sena leaders. He stated that police have issued notices to TDP MLA Bojjala Sudheer Reddy, his associate Sujith Reddy and Jana Sena worker Peta Chandrasekhar in connection with the case, and that there are serious allegations that efforts were made to secretly record private videos involving Kota Vinutha. He further said police suspect the involvement of Sri Kalahasti Temple Chairman and Jana Sena leader Kotte Sai as well.
He statrd that an innocent man lost his life due to political rivalry and conspiracies among coalition leaders, and condemned the silence of Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan despite the victim being his supporter. Karumuri Venkata Reddy said the growing pattern of secrecy, foreign travel, debt accumulation, corruption and criminal allegations reflects a complete collapse of governance under the coalition government and demanded immediate answers to the people of Andhra Pradesh.
