YSRCP welcomes court directive
Tadepalli, Feb 9: YSRCP has welcomed the court directive to grant bail and turn down police custody to former minister Ambati Rambabu who was in remand in Rajahmundry jail.
Speaking to media here on Monday, YSRCP General Secretary and former AAG Ponnavolu Sudhakar Reddy said the vindictive nature of the coalition was exposed as they have multiple cases for the same offence which goes against the Supreme Court directive.
Government has registered 36 cases against Ambati Rambabu for a single offense which is against the spirit of the Constitution. Our legal team has contended the arrest and multiple cases which got a nod by the Court and this increases the faith in judicial system.
We will take up other issues and cases to its logical end, he said and lauded the hard work of the legal team of the Party.
He said that those who orchestrated violence are let off while the victims are being jailed, he said adding that state sponsored violence was in full play with ruling party leaders and cadre attacking the houses of Ambati Rambabu and Jogi Ramesh.
The perpetrators we let off, despite the arson and attempt to murder but we will take up the issue and lodge a private complaint, he said.
There was no response from police when our leaders called and it shows the intensity of the Jungle Raj prevailing in the State. There after 36 cases were filed against Rambabu across the state in just two days which shows the vindictive nature of the government.
