*YSRCP urges Centre to intervene in AP fuel crisis, seeks immediate action*
*New Delhi, April 27:* YSRCP MP Gurumoorthy has written to Union Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri, urging immediate intervention to address the ongoing petrol and diesel crisis in Andhra Pradesh. He highlighted that people across the state are facing severe hardship due to fuel shortages, with nearly 70% of the 4,510 petrol bunks displaying “No Stock” boards and rationing fuel supply to vehicle users.
He pointed out the stark contradiction between ground realities and official claims, noting that while the Petroleum Ministry has stated there are no supply constraints nationwide and oil marketing companies have reported no unusual demand, the situation in Andhra Pradesh reflects a serious disruption. Gurumoorthy criticized the state government for failing to respond effectively despite widespread distress among farmers, traders, and middle-class families who are struggling due to the shortage. He called on the Central Government to immediately investigate the causes behind the crisis, including possible black marketing and hoarding, and to ensure adequate and uninterrupted supply of petrol and diesel to meet the needs of the state.
