YSRCP flays coalition govt.
Visakhapatnam, Jan 18: YSRCP has slammed the coalition government for pulling away the festive sheen from the people by hiking tariffs and burdening the common man on numerous counts.
Speaking to the media here on Sunday, Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Council Botsa Satyanarayana said that ahead of the festival, liquor rates were increased, stamp duty was hiked, farmers had no MSP for any crop, and fee reimbursement dues were mounting.
The government owes about Rs 5,600 crore towards fee reimbursement, and the urea shortage still continues.
Law and order has been deteriorating as people are being killed while returning to their native places. Such incidents never happened during our term.
Salman’s murder is a heinous and undemocratic act, and we severely condemn it, he said.
No section is happy under the coalition government from farmers and students to youth and women, he said.
