YSRCP exposes coalition’s vendetta politics

Kakinada/Tadepalli, May 16: YSRCP strongly denounced the TDP-led coalition government’s politically motivated vendetta, as recognized by the Supreme Court, which is targeting former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and derailing Andhra Pradesh’s progress through baseless legal cases.
Addressing media, YSRCP leader of opposition in the legislative council Botsa Satyanarayana, former Minister Perni Nani, and Jalla Sudarshan Reddy exposed the coalition’s tactics to harass the opposition, suppress dissent, and mask its governance failures with fabricated charges like the so-called liquor scam.
At Kakinada, Botsa Satyanarayana condemned the coalition’s conspiracy to defame YSRCP through malicious investigations. “This liquor scam is a deliberate plot to tarnish us. We will not tolerate such oppression and will expose this vindictive agenda to the public,” he asserted. He emphasized that YSRCP’s liquor policy was transparent and opposed politically driven witch-hunts. We will fight  the intimidation tactics in the people’s court,” Botsa said. He denounced the coalition’s unprecedented harassment and vowed to hold the government accountable.
Botsa slammed the coalition’s first year as a failure marked by broken promises and rampant corruption. “The Super Six promises, free bus travel for women, farmers' support, three free gas cylinders, 4 lakh jobs or Rs. 3,000 monthly unemployment aid, and Rs. 1,500 monthly for women under Aadabidda Nidhi, have been ignored,” he said. He highlighted corrupt practices, including the transfer of Rs. 3,000 crore worth of land for 99 paise and the unaddressed Kakinada rice smuggling scandal, despite Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan’s claims. Botsa questioned the coalition’s Rs. 1.59 lakh crore debt, unmatched by any state, asking, “What welfare was funded? YSRCP transferred Rs. 2.73 lakh crore directly to beneficiaries. Where did TDP’s loans go?” He contrasted YSRCP’s investments in medical colleges, ports, and Bhogapuram airport with the coalition’s propaganda-driven extravagance.
In Tadepalli, former Minister Perni Nani criticised Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu for weaponizing false cases to target YS Jagan, stalling development. “The Supreme Court sees through these frivolous cases, yet Naidu persists in silencing YS Jagan,” Nani said. He noted Naidu’s involvement in the Skill Development Scam, misappropriating Rs. 370 crore, and his evasion of trials, while YS Jagan faces fabricated liquor case charges under CRPC Section 120(b) without evidence. “This is a sham to arrest YS Jagan,” Nani stated, citing the removal of honest officer Vineet Brijlal and a biased SIT using TDP-scripted questions. He pointed out that the Competition Commission of India found no irregularities in the liquor policy, and officials like Krishna Mohan Reddy had no role in its collective Cabinet decision.
Nani criticized the coalition’s financial mismanagement, with revenues collapsing and a Rs. 1.5 lakh crore debt accrued without accountability. He accused Naidu, Pawan Kalyan, Nara Lokesh, Purandeswari, Lavu Sri Krishna Devarayalu, and Atchannaidu of squandering funds on luxuries like private jets and planned helicopters, while crores are diverted to legal battles like Vamsi’s case. Arrests in the liquor case lack evidence, aiming to intimidate opponents. Nani also called out Minister Kollu Ravindra for ignoring illegal belt shops near his residence and false Assembly accusations eroding trust.
Both leaders highlighted the coalition’s neglect of farmers. Botsa announced YSRCP’s plans to establish grassroots committees, hold district-wide meetings, and launch movements addressing paddy procurement negligence in Godavari districts, aqua farmers’ coastal challenges, and tobacco farmers’ lack of support prices in West Godavari, Guntur, and Prakasam. YS Jagan will personally meet tobacco farmers to push for fair procurement, as done during YSRCP’s tenure via Markfed. “The coalition’s apathy toward farmers is unacceptable. We’ll fight to wake this government,” Botsa affirmed.
Jalla Sudarshan Reddy, YSRCP legal cell leader, condemned the flawed investigations as revenge politics. “These cases are baseless, designed to harass Jagan and YSRCP. We will fight this injustice legally and publicly,” he vowed.
