YSRCP’s one-crore signature drive shakes Naidu govt
Tadepalli, 29 October: The YSR Congress Party leaders asserted that the historic One-Crore Signature Movement is shaking the very foundations of the TDP-led alliance government, as it seeks to privatize government medical colleges and deny quality medical education and healthcare to the poor. They declared that Chandrababu Naidu’s sole objective is to turn public healthcare into a luxury unreachable for ordinary families.
YSRCP leaders said the statewide signature drive is a direct people’s revolt to protect public medical education and government medical services. They condemned the alliance government’s “anti-poor, pro-corporate agenda” and demanded an immediate rollback of the PPP model for government medical colleges. “Chandrababu Naidu’s ideas are rotten and regressive. Privatizing public medical colleges is nothing but selling the future of poor students to private profiteers,” they said.
Leaders reminded the public that YS Jagan Mohan Reddy laid foundations for 17 government medical colleges with visionary planning, of which five are already functional, a historic expansion to make medical education accessible to every poor family. “While YSRCP built institutions for future generations, the alliance government is conspiring to hand them over to private cronies,” they stated.
They noted that Chandrababu Naidu never won a mandate on his own strength and came to power only through political fabrication and borrowed faces. But, people have seen the truth — and they now trust Jagan Mohan Reddy’s honesty and credibility. “YSRCP cadres are the charioteers of Jagan 2.0. In 2029, the people’s government will return with greater strength,” they affirmed.
The leaders ridiculed the alliance government’s false propaganda and hollow promises. “Their welfare is on paper, publicity is on steroids, but delivery is zero. Chandrababu can never fulfil his promises. If this regime survives three years, the Constitution itself will tremble. People are ready to uproot this alliance with united force,” they said.
The party emphasized that the One-Crore Signature Movement is not just a campaign, it is the voice of one crore families defending their children’s right to study medicine and the people’s right to affordable healthcare. “We will bend the alliance government’s neck and compel them to withdraw the PPP scam,” they vowed.
