Visakhapatnam, March 23: YSRCP State Women’s Wing President and MLC Varudu Kalyani today launched a sharp attack on YS Sharmila and YS Sunitha, declaring that their words carry no value or credibility as they relentlessly spread lies against the party and former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Addressing the media at the YSRCP office in Visakhapatnam, Kalyani said the party had shown utmost restraint and respect towards Sharmila and Sunitha as sisters of YS Jagan, remaining silent for a long time despite repeated provocations. However, she charged that the two had now crossed all limits, compelling YSRCP to come before the media to present the facts to the people.

Kalyani highlighted Sharmila’s lack of consistency, noting that she had formed a party in Telangana, repeatedly vowed lifelong commitment to it, and declared her life dedicated to Telangana—only to shut it down and return to Andhra Pradesh. “Her words have no value anywhere,” Kalyani asserted.

She rejected claims that YSRCP called Vijayamma’s letter fake, accusing Sharmila of fabricating allegations and misleading the public by invoking a nonexistent will of Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy. On the Vivekananda Reddy murder case, Sunitha was deliberately delaying justice through conspiracies, hatred, and false narratives, even after the Supreme Court confirmed the investigation’s completion and dismissed her petitions.

Kalyani listed several unanswered questions raised by YSRCP leaders Avinash Reddy and Rachamalla Shivaprasad Reddy on the murder case, including initial heart-attack reports, family statements, Dastagiri’s confession claims, bail issues, lawyer overlaps with Chandrababu Naidu, hidden letters, witness pressure, DNA tests, and more. She challenged Sharmila and Sunitha to answer these directly instead of resorting to baseless accusations.

On the asset dispute, Kalyani pointed out that the NCLT had ruled in YS Jagan’s favour, with appeals pending in NCLAT, and accused
the sisters of unethical actions in the Saraswati shares transfer involving Vijayamma, followed by repeated false statements to cover it up. She stressed that family matters should be resolved privately or through courts, not through public falsehoods.

Defending the party’s response, Kalyani said YSRCP was compelled to counter the continuous mudslinging orchestrated by Chandrababu Naidu to divert attention from his own troubles. She questioned whether Sharmila and Sunitha had any investment, losses, or liability in YS Jagan’s companies—unlike the ED attachments—and challenged them to substantiate their claims with evidence and logic.

Kalyani condemned the use of derogatory language, such as calling party workers “dogs,” and emphasized that YSRCP maintained decorum and restraint due to family ties. She warned that while the party had exercised patience so far, further excesses would not be tolerated, and urged Sharmila and Sunitha to either provide substantive answers to the raised questions or stop spreading lies.
