YS Jagan mourns loss of five medical students
Tadepalli, April 30: Former Chief Minister and YSRCP President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy expressed deep shock and grief over a tragic car accident in Nellore district that claimed six lives, including five medical students.
The incident occurred near Pothireddypalem, Kovuru Mandal, when a speeding car lost control near a petrol pump on the Mumbai National Highway and crashed into a house, killing resident Venkata Ramanaiah (50) instantly. Five of the six injured medical students succumbed to their injuries during treatment in Nellore.
In a statement, YS Jagan called the loss of young, promising lives a “heartbreaking” and urged stringent road safety measures.
“This tragedy shows the urgent need for accountability and prevention,” he said and extended condolences to the bereaved families.
