Visakhapatnam, April 23: YSRCP has slammed the coalition government for using temple lands for commercial purposes.
Speaking to the media here on Thursday, Visakhapatnam district president K.K. Raju said that the government giving away Simhachalam lands to Google is audacious.
He said that Devasthanam lands should be used for dharmic purposes, but giving away 106 acres of land to Google is highly objectionable.
He added that the land is under dispute and people have been seeking a solution for a long time, but instead of resolving the issue, the government has handed it over to a multinational company.
He said that Pawan Kalyan, who speaks strongly about Sanatana Dharma, has remained silent without raising any objection.
He further stated that the power project being inaugurated by N. Chandrababu Naidu was actually initiated due to the efforts of Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.
He said that the MoU was signed in 2023 for a 4,700 MW unit, but Chandrababu Naidu is now taking credit for it.
