TDP leaders busy with foreign trips while farmers suffer
Tadepalli, Nov 5: YSRCP spokesperson and MLA Tatiparthi Chandrasekhar came down heavily on Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and his son Lokesh, accusing them of enjoying foreign and pleasure trips while cyclone-hit farmers were left in misery without any compensation.
Speaking to the media at the YSRCP central office in Tadepalli, Chandrasekhar said it was shameful that while farmers were struggling with crop loss, the Chief Minister was touring abroad and Lokesh was in Mumbai for a cricket match. He said the father-son duo were roaming around at public expense instead of helping the people in distress.
He said Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy received an overwhelming response during his visit to cyclone-affected areas, as farmers remembered the welfare measures of the previous YSRCP government. In contrast, the current coalition leaders were busy with propaganda rather than relief work.
Chandrasekhar lashed out at Assembly Speaker Ayyanna Patrudu for his indecent remarks against YSRCP MLAs, saying such comments demeaned the dignity of the Speaker’s chair. He also warned BJP MLA Adinarayana Reddy to mind his words against YS Jagan and his family, stating that his repeated party-hopping had stripped him of political credibility.
He said the government had failed to compensate even a single affected farmer, showing its complete insensitivity and arrogance.
