TDP conspiring to eliminate Prasanna Kumar Reddy: Anil Kumar Yadav

Nellore, July 8: Former Minister Anil Kumar Yadav said that the recent attack on former MLA Nallapureddy Prasanna Kumar Reddy’s house was part of a larger conspiracy to eliminate him. Speaking to the media here on Tuesday, he said the attack was carried out by TDP followers under the direct instructions of TDP MP Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy and MLA Vemireddy Prasanthi Reddy.
Anil Kumar Yadav strongly condemned the attack, stating that all 200 individuals involved in the violence were TDP leaders and supporters. Despite a detailed complaint being filed with video evidence, not a single person has been arrested so far. He demanded that an attempt-to-murder case be filed against the Vemireddy couple.
He said this was an unprecedented situation in Nellore, where opposition leaders' homes are being targeted to spread fear. The attack was clearly premeditated, with hundreds of TDP men entering Prasanna Kumar Reddy’s house with sticks and rods, damaging property and vehicles when the leader was not present.
MLC Parvathareddy Chandrasekhar Reddy expressed shock that even after 20 hours of filing the complaint, police had not registered an FIR. He questioned how police could fail to protect a senior leader’s home in Nellore city, and warned that the safety of ordinary citizens is now at risk.
The YSRCP leaders criticized MLA Prasanthi Reddy’s abusive language against Prasanna Kumar Reddy, demanding accountability for the violent incident and immediate arrests of the culprits involved.
