*Srikanth Reddy slams Chandrababu over Amaravati and caste politics*
Kadapa, April 3: YSRCP State General Secretary Gadikota Srikanth Reddy criticised TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu, alleging that he was fuelling caste and regional divisions for political gain. He warned that the party would not tolerate irresponsible remarks against YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Speaking to the media in Kadapa, he said the controversial “Kamaravati” remarks made by Renuka Chowdhury in the Rajya Sabha were made at Chandrababu’s instigation. He noted that coalition leaders had not condemned the comments, which indicated their approval.
He accused Chandrababu of provoking conflicts among regions and communities for political benefit. He alleged that Amaravati had turned into a centre of corruption, citing insider trading earlier and mobilization advances now as tools for large scale financial misuse. He said excessive construction costs were leading to thousands of crores in corruption and weakening the state’s finances.
Srikanth Reddy stated that Rayalaseema and North Andhra were being ignored and questioned why their sentiments were not valued. He defended the MAVIGUN concept proposed by YS Jagan, saying it aimed at balanced regional development.
He also criticised the Amaravati project for lack of progress despite grand claims and alleged it was being used for political and financial gain. On Polavaram, he said the project had suffered due to mismanagement under Chandrababu.
He further alleged a breakdown of law and order, stating that Chandrababu had failed to control his party leaders. He concluded that YSRCP would resist any attempt to create divisions or target its leadership.
