*No safety for women under coalition govt.*
Nallajerla, April 4: Former Home Minister Taneti Vanitha slammed the coalition government for the deteriorating law and order situation and lack of safety to women.
Speaking to the Media here on Saturday, she said, the Narasaraopet incident shows how a single woman was assaulted by a drunk person. With liquor and ganja widely available all the time the atrocities against women and minors are growing.
Police are being used by political bosses to settle personal scores and Opposition members and social media activists are being harassed with fake and false cases.
Women safety was a priority during YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's term and women are living in fear, she said. The State has slipped to 36th place in maintaining law and order which shows the ground reality and extent of lawlessness, she said.
