*Kapu community deserves justice*
Tadepalli, June 16: YSRCP State Spokesperson Vangaveeti Narendra said the coalition government has failed to protect the Kapu community, stating that repeated attacks and the custodial death of Sai Krishna reflect a disturbing pattern of injustice. He said the incident in Krishnalanka police station has raised serious questions over governance and accountability, while the silence of Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has deeply disappointed the community.
Narendra said Sai Krishna was taken into police custody and was never produced before a court. He stated that the custodial death was followed by the cremation of the body without handing it over to the family, and demanded that those responsible, including the officials and higher authorities behind the incident, be brought before the law. He questioned whether such an incident could occur without political backing and criticized attempts to settle the matter instead of ensuring justice.
Referring to earlier incidents involving Kapu leaders and youth, including the deaths of Lakshmu Naidu and Ambati Phanibabu, Narendra said a series of unresolved cases has created fear and insecurity within the community. He said families who expected support after standing with the ruling alliance have instead been left without answers or justice.
Narendra questioned why Pawan Kalyan, who sought Kapu support for the alliance, has remained silent on these incidents and has not visited the affected families or questioned the government. He reaffirmed that YSRCP would stand firmly with the Kapu community, continue its legal and democratic fight for justice, and ensure that every person responsible for these incidents is held accountable before the law when the party returns to power.
