Tadepalli, Jan 24: YSRCP State Official Spokesperson Putta Siva Shankar demanded that the coalition government immediately make public all “secret GOs,” invoices, and payment records related to the extensive use of special flights and helicopters by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, and Minister Nara Lokesh. Addressing the media at the YSRCP central office, he said people voted for the coalition expecting responsible governance, but instead are witnessing unrestrained luxury, shuttle-style travel between Hyderabad and Andhra Pradesh, and reckless spending that is pushing the State deeper into debt.

Siva Shankar said no Chief Minister or business tycoon in the country travels the way these three leaders do, questioning why, despite holding office in Andhra Pradesh, they repeatedly commute from Hyderabad every week. He cited information from the General Administration Department stating that Chandrababu Naidu alone spent around Rs 56 crore on flight travel in a year, and asked how much more public money is being spent on the even more frequent special flights of Pawan Kalyan and Nara Lokesh. He demanded clarity on whether these expenses are being borne by the government and, if not, from what sources they are being financed.

Detailing Pawan Kalyan’s recent travel, he said that between January 19 and 23, the Deputy CM undertook at least 11 special flight services apart from a helicopter sortie, staying in Andhra Pradesh for only one night during those five days. He questioned whether those entrusted with governing the State have neither the time nor willingness to even stay here.

Siva Shankar further stated that while hundreds of crores are being spent on luxury travel, ZPTC members have not been paid salaries since 2024. He recalled that the Panchayat Raj Department told the High Court it had no funds, and asked how there is money for daily flights but not for statutory payments. He demanded the immediate disclosure of all related GOs, invoices, and bills.
