*Chandrababu’s ‘Hotline’ with Congress exposed*
Rajahmundry, April 20: Former MP Margani Bharat stated that Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is maintaining a covert “hotline” relationship with the Congress while publicly criticizing it, exposing what he called the TDP’s double standards. Speaking at the YSRCP office in Rajahmundry, he said the party’s stance during the Women’s Bill debate and simultaneous proximity with Telangana CM Revanth Reddy reflect opportunistic politics. He further accused senior TDP leader Buchaiah Chowdary of making baseless and derogatory remarks against Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy purely out of desperation for a ministerial post, calling his comments on sensitive issues like the Paritala Ravi and Vivekananda Reddy cases irresponsible and politically motivated.
Bharat stated that such allegations only expose the moral decline within TDP leadership, pointing out contradictions in their past positions and present narratives. He emphasized that the YSR family has never indulged in vendetta politics, recalling how even in adverse circumstances they maintained dignity, unlike the current regime which, he said, spreads misinformation including false propaganda on issues like the Tirumala laddu. Challenging TDP leaders, he called for an open debate on Rajahmundry’s development, asserting that claims against projects like the Kambalacheruvu fountain are misleading and that the city had witnessed tangible development during the YSRCP tenure.
He also said that Rajahmundry has now become a hub for sand and liquor mafias under the coalition government, with ruling party leaders allegedly involved in exploitation while failing to complete ongoing infrastructure projects like flyovers and service roads. Criticizing Buchaiah Chowdary’s remarks as politically driven, Bharat advised senior leaders to focus on curbing corruption rather than targeting YS Jagan with false narratives. He warned that if such smear campaigns continue, YSRCP will expose what he described as the nexus, opportunistic politics, and governance failures of the ruling leadership before the public.
