AP flooded with Fake liquor under Chandrababu’s watch
Tadepalli, Dec 7: YSRCP State Official Spokesperson Yanamala Nagarjuna Yadav accused the Chandrababu Naidu government of enabling an unprecedented fake liquor mafia across Andhra Pradesh, stating that the state is now run under a “Babu–Beer–Sarkaru” policy. He said counterfeit liquor is being manufactured like a cottage industry under the protection of ruling party leaders, with nearly half the liquor sold in AP being fake. The major illegal unit busted at Mulakalacheruvu was operated by TDP Tamballapalle in-charge Jayachandra Reddy along with his associate Addempalli Janardhan Rao, both college mates. Despite clear evidence, Jayachandra Reddy remains untouched while those who exposed the racket are being targeted.
The scam surfaced when a milk van, owned by Jayachandra Reddy’s PA, was found delivering heaps of fake liquor bottles to shops. The illicit unit was operating just 200 meters from the Excise Police Station for 15 months without detection, pointing to political and departmental collusion. Though Janardhan Rao returned from Africa voluntarily and was casually arrested, his first statement never mentioned former minister Jogi Ramesh. Only after 24 days was a second statement extracted to falsely implicate him, purely as political revenge for exposing over 27,000 fake bottles in Vijayawada.
Nagarjuna Yadav said the entire chain, from manufacture to sale, is run by TDP leaders, yet false cases are being filed against YSRCP leaders. He warned that officials enabling such vendetta will face legal consequences once YS Jagan returns to power. YSRCP will continue to fight and expose this TDP-backed fake liquor mafia that has endangered public safety across all 26 districts.
