Upsurge of anger against CBI

Hyderabad, Nov 28, 2012: In a sudden upsurge of anger, people across the state expressed their strong opposition to the attitude of the CBI towards YSR Congress Party chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.

People, led by YSR Congress leaders and activists, held protest rallies and demonstrations in the districts of Chittor, East Godavari, Guntur, Krishna, Medak, Nellore, Nizamabad, Visakhapatnam and West Godavari on Tuesday and expressed their ire  against CBI for obstructing bail to Jagan Mohan Reddy.

In Madanapally of Chittor district, people led by local YSR Congress leaders held a silent demonstration closing their mouths with black ribbons and then led a rally from MLC office to Ambedkar circle protesting against the alleged CBI’s vindictive attitude.  Later, they resorted to a sit-in at the Circle.

In East Godavari district, party activists led by district convener K.Chittebbai organized a human chain wearing black badges and raised slogans against CBI at Amalapuram while party activists and locals led a rally at Jaggampeta under the leadership of Jyothula Nehru.

Party leaders Marri Rajasekhar and Gowtham Reddy led demonstrations of party activists in Guntur and Vijayawada towns respectively and charged CBI with acting with partialities in the case.

While in Sangareddy of Medak district, YSRCP activists submitted a memorandum to the statue of Dr. Ambedkar seeking justice for Jagan Mohan Reddy, party leaders and activists participated in the ‘Bread Festival’ (Rottela Panduga) at Nellore seeking justice for the party president Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Party activists conducted similar demonstrations and rallies wearing black badges in Nizamabad, Visakhapatnam and West Godavari districts also.
