Alampur, Nov 24, 2012: Sharmila, who has been undertaking Maro Praja Prasthanam Padayatra on behalf of YSR Congress Party chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, has alleged that TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu had gifted away the KG Basin to the Reliance Industries during his regime purely for selfish reasons.

Addressing a public meeting at Santhi Nagar in Alampur constituency of Mahabubnagar district during the course of her Padayatra on Saturday, Sharmila said if the KG Basin had not been handed over to the Reliance, we would have been in a position to supply cooking gas to our homes through pipelines.

“We could also have been spared of the problems we are facing now on the cooking gas front,” she said, adding it is unfortunate that the state people are unable to use the natural resources found in our state.

Sharmila slammed Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy saying the Government has diluted all welfare schemes introduced by YSR on the pretext of funds crunch and Opposition leader Chandrababu Naidu has been enjoying the fun without questioning the anti-people policies of the Government.

“Why are you protecting the Government without introducing no-confidence motion when you say that it has no right to continue in power even for a single day?” Sharmila questioned Naidu and asked people to teach a fitting lesson to both Congress and TDP at the hustings.
