Vested interests playing mind games: YSRCP 

Hyderabad, September 14: Accusing the Congress, TDP and some vested interests of playing mind games and unleashing false propaganda, timing it with crucial turns of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s legal battle, YSR Congress spokesperson Gattu Ramachandra Rao has said such cheap gimmicks will not work. 

Speaking to media here on Friday, he said: “The timing of filing stories and unfolding of some incidents to coincide with the date of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s legal procedures has been part of conspiracy of the Congress, TDP, CBI and a section of media.” 

Such gimmicks have come to a pass and the joint efforts of vested interests with Congress and TDP has been out in the open, he said adding that YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will come out unscathed very soon. 

The story which appeared in a national English magazine was timed with the bail application hearing by the apex court and such mind games were in full play with the ruling, main opposition and vested interests using government agencies and media targeting YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, he said. 

CBI functioning has been erroneous since the beginning and its double standards have been exposed thoroughly. While the investigation agency has told the court that it could not pursue the case against N Chandrababu due to paucity of staff, it went on a hot pursuit pressing 20 teams into service in the case against YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and simultaneously raiding over 40 organisations. 

The distortions in media have been carefully timed and has run out of surprise by now, be it the concocted version of merger or the prominently mentioning YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in the larger story of describing Hyderabad as the scam capital of India by the magazine, he said. 

While there are bigger scams elsewhere, focus was on YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s case and it came out at a time when the bail plea is due for hearing in the Supreme Court. “Though we do not believe in coincidences, there were earlier incidents when they came in to the open whenever an important development is due in Jagan’s case,” he said.
