Rich tributes paid to YSR on his birth anniversary: June 8,2012

Hyderabad, June 8: Rich tributes were paid to Dr YS Rajasekhar Reddy on his birth anniversary across the State with his family members, party cadre, fans and well wishers conducting blood donation camps, undertaking charity activities, garlanding his statues and recalling his services to the uplift of various sections of people and lauded his vision for a welfare sate.

Leading from the front, YSRCP Honorary President, YS Vijayamma has donated blood at the Idupulapaya near YSR ghat where a free ambulance was commissioned. Earlier, YSR family members YS Bharathi, Sharmila, Anil Kumar and others paid floral tributes at the YSR ghat.

Senior leaders lauded the services of YSR at a grand function held at the party headquarters here. MLAs Sobha Nagi, Mekapati  Chandrasekhar Reddy, besides YV Subba Reddy and Nellore MP Mekapati Rajmohan Reddy participated in the function. A blood donation camp was also held by youth wing of the party.

YSR Kadapa district was in the forefront, with several charitable activities including poor feeding, distribution of fruits to patients at various hospitals was taken up. People thronged Idupulapaya in large numbers to pay tributes to YSR.    

In Visakhapatnam, Party senior leader Konathala Ramakrishna and hundreds of fans paid rich tributes to YSR and special pujas were held at Pateru Modakondamma temple by former MLC Sarveswara Rao at Padipala of Makaparampalem manal.

In East Godavari district several charitable works were undertaken to mark the birth anniversary of YSR. In Tuni sarees and blankets were distributed at an old age home, while sweets were distributed at SC, BC hostels at Anaparthi and at various other places YSR statues were garlanded. Former MLA V Subba Rao had conducted poor feeding programme at Yeleswaram. The birth anniversary was observed at several other places in the district, including Rajahmundry, Kakinada and other places.

Across Ananthapur district, fans and cadre of YSRCP participated in various welfare and charitable activities. Led by MLA Gurnatha Reddy, the YSR statues were garlanded and the cadre undertook distribution of milk and fruits at hospitals besides distribution of sarees and blankets.

In Nalgonda and Karimnagar, YSR birth anniversary was observed with leaders lauding the services of former the chief minister who was described as a visionary.  In Warangal district, YSRC leaders observed the day by distributing food and clothing to the need. Functions were held at Geesukonda, Mahbubabad and other places.

“YSR was a role model Chief Minister and he has shown how good governance can change the lives of farmers, weavers, students, women, senior citizens, minorities and other sections of the society,” Party , Gattu Ramachandra Rao said.
