Tirupati YSR Congress Party MLA Bhumana Karunakara Reddy said the patent of Padayatras belonged to the visionary leader YSR’s family and no other person can claim the rights over it.

He told newspersons at Idupulapaya in YSR district today there is no need for YSRCP to copy the Padayatra of Chandrababu Naidu as the Padayatra patent is owned by YSR family.

“Sharmila will undoubtedly get the credit of undertaking the longest Padayatra in the country,” he said, adding people are anxiously waiting for her Praja Prasthanam.

Karunakara Reddy said Sharmila will commence her Yatra after a public meeting at Idupulapaya on Oct 18. She has decided to undertake the walkathon to know the people’s problems and assure them that YSRCP will bring back the golden rule of YSR, he observed.

The Tirupati MLA alleged the Government has sent the YSR welfare schemes into oblivion and begun exploiting the people like vultures. He said Chandrababu Naidu has been hankering after power and the only aim of his Yatra is to recapture the lost political power.

Earlier, Karunakara Reddy, former MP Bhuma Nagi Reddy and MLAs Amarnath Reddy, G.Srikanth Reddy, K. Srinivasulu and MLC Narayana Reddy and several local leaders paid homage to YSR at his Samadhi.

The leaders also discussed the roadmap of the Yatra in the district and the arrangements to be made to the participants.
