Hyderabad, Oct 8, 2013: YSR Congress Party announced on Tuesday that its farmer-members will sit on Rythu Deeksha in all Mandal headquarters on Oct 10 demanding the Centre to keep the state united.

Announcing this here in a press release, party farmers’ wing convener MVS Nagi Reddy said the farmers will take up Deeksha from morning to evening opposing the Central Government’s decision to carve out Telangana state by bifurcating AP.

“If the state is divided, majority lands in both Telangana and Seemandhra will turn barren destroying the agricultural sector and leaving the 70 per cent of the pump sets useless," he said, adding that AP must be kept united for the welfare of people of all three regions.

He called upon the farmers to participate in the programme in large numbers and make it successful.
