New Delhi, Nov 13, 2013: YSR Congress Party on Wednesday reiterated its demand to keep the state united during its discussions with the Group of Ministers (GoM) on bifurcation in Delhi.

YSRCP leaders, Dr M.V. Mysura Reddy and Gattu Ramachandra Rao met the members of the GoM and asked them to keep the state unified as division is not a solution to the T issue.

“The division will bring about more and new problems for which there are no solutions. We request you to stop the process of bifurcation immediately and let the state continue united.” They told the GoM.

The two leaders have submitted an 8-page memorandum to the GoM explaining the need to stop the process of bifurcation immediately.

Later, Mysura Reddy and Gattu told reporters that it is not good on part of the Centre to decide on the bifurcation of the state alone while leaving such demands in several states unanswered.

The entire process of bifurcation is unconstitutional, arbitrary, unilateral and undemocratic and must be stopped forthwith, said Mysura and Lagadapati
