VISAKHAPATNAM: YSRCP district president Gudiwada Amarnath demanded the resignation of urban TDP president and Visakha South MLA Vasupalli Ganesh Kumar for trying to protect party member and Transgender's Association leader S Yellaji from a transgender's murder case. He said the police should clarify the doubts on the transgender Anusha's murder. There are allegations that Anusha was beaten to death by Yellaji, who is also TDP ward president. A few people have witnessed a bleeding Anusha being carried from the house to an unknown place in a auto rickshaw. Later, she was allegedly cremated at Sriharipuram.

Speaking to media persons here at the party office, the YSRCP district president asked why have the police not registered a case when some people had come forward to give statements. He also wondered why did not the police sent the body for post mortem to determine if it was suicide. He also charged that the final rites were conducted hurriedly. "All these indicate foul play," Amarnath alleged. Ganesh Kumar has been trying save Yellaji and cops are not taking action, he alleged.
