YSR should be your role model!

Khammam, June 27, 2013: Asserting that YSR Congress party is a winning party, Party honourary president Smt. Y.S. Vijayamma on Thursday asked the leaders to prove themselves to be good by wining majority seats in Panchayat polls and serving the people sincerely.

Addressing the Khammam district YSRCP regional meet on the forthcoming Panchayat polls here, she suggested they take YSR as their inspiration in serving the people and boosting up their confidence levels.

“No doubt, we are going to win but you should not be negligent in your approach,” she told them.

Every year YSR used to conduct Praja Patham and solve people’s problems in right earnest but now, we don’t find such leaders, she said, asking the party rank and file to take him as their model.

Accusing the Congress Government and TDP of conspiring to weaken the YSRCP in the Panchayat polls, Smt. Vijayamma said the two may unleash their money and liquor power this time also as in the past.

Taking advantage of the fact that the Panchayat polls would be held on non-party basis, the Congress is likely to claim the winning candidates as theirs, she said and added: “The TDP may have a covert understanding with the Congress and resort to illegalities including tampering of voters’ lists. You should thwart their attempts.”

Smt. Vijayamma told the party rank and file to coordinate among themselves to plan for the local body polls. “Pay door-to-door visits to houses and explain the aims of Party chief Sri Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy to the people,” she exhorted them.
