YSR 64th birth anniversary across the state
Hyderabad, July 8, 2013: YSR Congress has appealed to the people and cadre to celebrate the 64th birth anniversary of YS Rajasekhar Reddy across the state and rededicate themselves to ideals of the great leader.
“We thought of celebrating the event on a grand scale at Idupulapaya, but with the code of conduct in wake of local bodies’ elections the event will be celebrated by cadre, leaders and symathisers state-wide,” Party spokesperson Jupudi Prabhakar told reporters here on Sunday.
There will be a simple function at the Party Central office here in which some service programmes would be taken up. Elsewhere, cadre and sympathizers would also observe the day with dedication to the ideals of the YSR.
The Congress government should be celebrating the jayathi on a grand scale, but it is afraid do so as it has to acknowledge the welfare activities taken up by the great leader and the innocence of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Congress is drifting away from the people as it is imposing heavy taxes and is going against the people’s wishes. Its dark side is exposed as it has shelved the development and welfare activities of YS Rajasekhar Reddy, he said.
“We have to take forward the ideology of YSR and both Congress and TDP are not in a position to redress the plight of the people,’ he said.
On Telangana, he said, “our stand is clear. The decision we have taken in our first Plenary still stands. It is Congress that is creating confusion and whipping regional passions. There should be clarity on which option of Sri Krishna Committee will be accepted or what their stand is on the issue.
We have told at the All Party Meeting that it is for the Centre to take a decision in the right direction.
