YS Jagan fired on Naidu in Yuvabheri for Special status:
Kakinada Yuvabheri was a grand success. On the call of the peoples leader YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, youth from all corners of Andhra Pradesh, visited the Ambedkar Auditorium in Kakinada. YS Jagan wished the students and congratulated them for attending the program despite the objections and obstacles created by the TDP government.
YS Jagan addressed the people in the Yuvabheri and these are the highlights of his speech addressing the special status and government actions over poor and unemployed.
· Special status states will get 90 per cent grants and 0nly 10 percent as loans. For other states, 70 percent of the funds is in the form of loans and 30 per cent is given as grants.
· It is already noted that the central cabinet has given its approval for the special status around 22 months ago, while nothing is taken upon. Even the Prime Minister can give the special status within no time, but it is not approved though he heads cabinet and National Development Council.
· If there is special state status, the industries will get tax exemption, 30 per cent discount of taxes, reimbursement of transport costs and 50 per cent cut in power tariff for 20 years.
· If there is special state status, each district in Andhra Pradesh will turn into another Hyderabad.
· The TDP government has removed 6000 students for no reason. The Arogya Mitras were recruited by YSR and had won 28 national awards. The Arogya Mitra employees were protesting as they were removed from their jobs.
· Jobs can be given only if AP gets special status. But, Chandrababu has mortgaged state interests to serve his personal interest. In Uttarakhand, which has special state status, there are 2000 new industries, an additional 34000 crore worth of investments and 400 per cent increase in job opportunities. AP will also get the same benefits if it has special state status.
· Chandrababu could have got the special status if had he really fought for it. But, his plan to extricate himself from the cash for Votes scam is making him to sacrifice the interests of the state. His compulsions are making him to keep silent on the issue. It is time that the people of the state, especially the students, take Chandrababu to task and force him to come around.
· The government says there are 1,42,888 vacant jobs. But, there is no recruitment drive even after 22 months of the TDP assuming power.
· No notifications on APPSC exams and recruitment calender.
· Over 30000 assistants were removed. It has been 16 months, but the DSC lists have not be made public. There are no jobs and the government is cutting down on jobs.
· The troubles of Anganwadi women remains unheard.
· Special status was promised by no less a person than the then PM as Andhra Pradesh has lost Hyderabad, which has 90 per cent of software jobs. At least 70 per cent of the total jobs are in Hyderabad.
· When Congress said it will give special status for 5 years, the BJP went a step ahead and said the status would be given for 10 years. The TDP and the BJP made it a poll issue and sought votes.
· The same governments are now trying to sidestep. The government is now talking about special package and not special state status. The people should strongly take Chandrababu Naidu to task for this flip flop. The argument that the finance commission would decide on the issue is also wrong. The finance commission will only discuss the issue of tax revenue allocation.
· YS Jagan motivated the people and stated that together, we can achieve the special status. YS Jagan mentioned that with your blessings, we can achieve the special status.
