Hyderabad, Feb 5, 2013: Former Minister and YSR Congress party Central Governing Council member Konda Surekha has said some people are terrified of Smt. Y. S. Sharmila resuming her Maro Praja Prasthanam Padayatra from Wednesday and making baseless allegations against her to throw mud on the YSR family.

In a statement in Hyderabad, Surekha asked the YSR family baiters why they were not pointing their fingers at TDP President Chandrababu Naidu who amassed thousands of crores of rupees from being the owner of a 2-acre land prior to his entering politics.

“Why are you silent while Chandrababu has been building up his Heritage empire across several states? Why don’t you talk about the misdeeds of Chandrababu who gifted away 535 acres to Emaar Properties and 850 acres to IMG Bharata?” Surekha questioned.

Chandrababu met Union Minister Chidambaram many a time in Delhi to avoid probe into his misdeeds and corruption but those criticizing the YSR family have chosen to remain silent, she said, reminding them that late NT Rama Rao branded Naidu as the most corrupt politician in the country.

Recalling that Tehelka magazine branded Naidu as the richest politician in the country, Surekha said Naidu became the richest politician through his corruption but had conspired with Congress to escape probe and trouble YSRCP chief Sri Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy. “Naidu’s persistent refusal to introduce no trust motion against the Government has only proved he is in cahoots with the Congress,” she remarked.

YSRCP MLC Jupudi Prabhakara Rao and party leader Mareppa also asked BJP leader NVSS Prabhakar why he was silent on the corruption of Chandrababu Naidu.
