Nov 22, 2012: Coming down heavily on TDP president Chandrababu Naidu for charging YSR Congress party Chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy with buying MLAs of other parties from his jail, party honourary president Smt. Y. S. Vijayamma asked Naidu as to how many crores of rupees he had received from the Congress for not moving no-confidence motion against Kiran Kumar Reddy Government.

Addressing a mammoth public meeting at Kurnool on the 35th day of Maro Praja Prasthanam on Wednesday, Vijayamma slammed Naidu for saying that Jagan Mohan Reddy has been purchasing MLAs with crores of rupees.

“How many crores did you take to defect from Congress to Telugu Desam after the Congress was defeated at the hustings in the early 1980s? How many crores did you pay to the TDP MLAs in the then Vice Roy Hotel for bringing down the NTR Government in the 1990s?” Vijayamma asked Naidu.

Totally rejecting the allegations of Naidu that Jagan Mohan Reddy has been purchasing MLAs of other parties, Vijayamma said the MLAs of other parties have been joining YSR Congress as they had immense faith and confidence in the leadership of Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Accusing the Congress and TDP leaders of conspiring and sending Jagan Mohan Reddy to jail, Vijayamma reminded the people of Union Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad’s statement that Jagan could have become Union Minister first and Chief Minister later had he not left the Congress.  “This statement alone proves that Congress had conspired with TDP and sent Jagan to jail.”

Vijayamma asked people not to believe the assurances of Naidu who went back on his promises during his rule and also on Telangana issue.
