Vijayamma meets President Pranab

YSR Congress party honourary president, Smt.Y.S.Vijayamma today met the President Pranab Mukherjee in Delhi and complained to him about the vindictive nature of the CBI in dealing with the Jagan case.

Vijayamma, who called on Pranab along with party MP Mekapati Raja Mohana Reddy and senior leader YV Subba Reddy, told newspersons after the meeting that she had brought to the notice of the President the injustice done to his son.

“We had congratulated Pranab on his becoming the President. Actually Jagan wanted to come here personally and congratulate the President but I came here to congratulate Pranab since he couldn’t,” Vijayamma told journalists, adding she had told the president about the vindictive attitude of the investigating agency. “I complained about the machinations of the CBI and its efforts to ensure bail is denied to my son,” she said.

Asked about the President’s reaction on her complaint, Vijayamma said Pranab had promised to look into the matter.

Flanked by Raja Mohana Reddy and Subba Reddy, Vijayamma said she had also complained about the conspiracy hatched against Jagan by Congress and the TDP. “The two parties have been conspiring against Jagan and we have brought this also to the notice of the honourable president,’ she said.

Raja Mohana Reddy said they have earlier brought the issue to the notice of the Prime Minister. “Earlier, we had complained to the PM and now we brought the issue to the notice of the President,” he said.
