Khammam, Nov 20, 2012: Lashing out at TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu for his comments against MLAs, YSR Congress Party honourary president Smt. Y. S. Vijayamma asked Naidu as to how many crores of rupees he got from NTR for defecting to TDP from Congress in the 1990s.

Addressing a mammoth public meeting on Monday at the Pavillion Grounds in Khammam wherein Sattupalli former Congress MLA Jalagam Venkata Rao joined YSRCP, Vijayamma also asked Naidu to reveal how much amount he paid to the TDP MLAs in the then Vice Roy Hotel for bringing down the NTR Government.

“Are the elected representatives so cheap for you?” Vijayamma questioned him.

She said Naidu has been viewing elected representatives as saleable commodities and accordingly alleging that MLAs are being sold out for themselves.

Totally rejecting the allegations of Naidu that YSRCP chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has been purchasing MLAs of other parties despite his being in jail, Vijayamma said the MLAs of other parties have been joining YSR Congress as they had immense faith and confidence in the leadership of Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Vijayamma reminded Naidu that YSR kept all his promises and gained credibility among the masses by implementing various welfare programmes. “People also believe that Jagan Mohan Reddy would carry out the task left over by YSR and hence they are reposing confidence in my son’s leadership. This is also the reason for leaders and MLAs of other parties meeting him in jail,” she said, adding that Jagan Mohan Reddy also enjoyed immense credibility among the masses. “Jagan will surely bring the golden rule back to the people.”
