Hyderabad, Nov 5: Describing the TRS Government maiden budget as unrealistic and a jugglery of figures, YSR Congress has said there was an attempt to inflate the figures to reach the 1 lakh crore mark using the reverse calculation method.

“There is no concord in the figures tucked into the whopping 1 lakh core budget and it did not address the core issues and has been unrealistic vis-à-vis the budgetary allocations of the united state,” Party Working President of Telangana State P Sriniavas Reddy told reporters here on Wednesday.

There have been attempts to touch the 1 lakh crore mark and the focus was only on the targeted amount and not on the break-up of the figure with appropriate allocations. The Government has boasted that the GDP rate is higher than that of the Gujarat government but there is no reflection of the fact at ground zero, he said.

The figures mentioned in the budget are highly inflated as they do not correspond with the earlier allocations of the united state on many counts be it plan allocations, grants-in-aid that is due from the Centre or other heads. “Our Party MLAs will raise the issue in the Assembly during the debate and will question the government on the core issues and the lack of sincerity,” he said. YSRCP MLAs, who were also present at the press meet, said that they take up the issue and highlight the lack of clarity in the budget.

Srinivas Reddy said that by December end or in January the mass contact programe will continue in Telangana region along with Sharmila.
