Kakinada: Former MLA and YSRCP's president of East Godavari, Kurasala Kannababu, stated that it was atrocious of the Government to resort to threatening farmers, over not taking care of them. Speaking at Kakinada, he suggested the Government not to threaten the farmers of Konaseema, who had declared crop holiday.
Kannababu criticised that Home Minister China Rajappa had sent the police to the area of the farmers and ordered for threatening the farmers. He mentioned that the farmers of the state were already in a state of crisis due to failure of loan waiver and other troubles. Hence, they decided to declare crop holiday. He indicated that they were not happy about the crop holiday either and added that YSRCP would stay supportive of the farmers in case they wanted to protest.
