Stop spinning imaginative stories: YSRCP

Hyderabad, May 20, 2014: Slamming the remarks of TDP leaders and a section of press trying to spin imaginative stories on the meeting of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy with Narender Modi, YSR Congress has said, with 48% vote share the party will play a constructive role and will stand as a model opposition Party in the country.

“The remarks of TDP leaders raking up the cases against YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and attributing them as perceived discussion that must have taken place with Narender Modi are absurd as the issue is in the court and the judiciary does not come under the purview of the Prime Minster of the Union Government.

Such loose talk only establishes the fact they the TDP leaders and the section of media has no faith or do not understand the functioning of judiciary,” party MLA K Sridhar Reddy told reporters here on Tuesday.

The unwarranted talk of TDP leaders and trying to lure local leaders to desert YSRCP is not in good taste and with eight MPs and 67 MLAs in Seemandhra we are a force to reckon with and we have full faith in our leader YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and we will run though the course of the time and play our role to its justified end.

“We will support the government in all measures that will help the people and will take the ruling party head-on if it goes back on its poll promises or fails to deliver the goods. The difference of voting percentage between us is just under 2 % and we are not far behind. Certain factors like Modi and others supporting TDP we got a shade less percentage but we are very strong and resolute.

YS Jagan Mohan Reddy met Modi and explained to him about the injustice being meted out to Seemandhra region and the lacunas in State Reorgansiation Bill 2014 and sought redressal besides other issues that were mentioned by the former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh which were not part of the Bill and the imperative need to rebuild Seemandhra.

The two leaders had an in-camera meeting for a brief while which was being blown out of proportion by the TDP leaders and the section of media tagging the court cases to it which is ridiculous and an insult to the judiciary.

“We have ideological differences with BJP and what our leader said was that the Party will extend issue-based support to the NDA,” he said adding that we are proud to work under the leadership of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
