Sharmila’s Yatra to blur Naidu’s in Ananta district

Anantapuram, Oct 25, 2012: Sharmila’s Maro Praja Prasathanam Padayatra in Anantapuram district, covering 70 villages spread over a distance of  200 km in the assembly constituencies of Dharmavaram, Raptadu, Anantapur, Uravakonda and Guntakal Assembly segments, is likely to overshadow the Padayatra of TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu.

While Naidu walked around 226 km in 13 days, he could not prevent some of his party leaders from leaving the party even during his Yatra. The indication that Naidu has lost part of his control over the party in the district was available when former minister Nagi Reddy and his followers attended Sharmila’s meeting at Dadithota.

Sharmila’s padayatra in the district has turned out to be a major attraction as the late YSR didn’t cover it during his Praja Prasthanam in 2003.

Already Sharmila has been drawing bigger crowds to her meetings in the course of Maro Praja Prasthanam posing a threat to the existence of Congress in Dharmavaram and Guntakal constituencies and TDP in Uravakonda and Raptadu constituencies.
