Sharmila conducts Rachchabanda at 2 villages
Sirigiripuram (R.R.Dt.), Dec 12, 2012: Smt. Sharmila, who resumed her Maro Praja Prasthanam Padayatra from Mansan Pally in Ranga Reddy district on the 55th day on Wednesday, participated in Rachchabanda programmes at Maheswaram and Sirigiripuram and interacted with people instilling confidence among them.
The Padayatra will also touch the villages of Harsha Guda, Mankhal and Tukkuguda covering a total distance of 18.9 km during the day’s schedule.
While at the Maheswaram Rachchabanda, women complained of taking back their Patta lands by the Government, at Sririgiripuram Rachchabanda they narrated the local problems such as the lack of drainage system, over charging of their power bills, collection of Rs.2 interest on their loans in the name of 25 paisa interest and lack of drinking water facility.
The women also expressed fears that their ration supplies may be curtailed in the name of cash transfer scheme. At both the places, Sharmila assured them their problems would be solved when YSR Congress assumes power under the leadership of Sri Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Smt. Sharmila has so far covered a distance of 772.80 km as on 54th day on Tuesday.
