Ongole: YSRCP MP YV Subbareddy mentioned the prominence of the post office of Ongole. He said it had historical prominence, being the largest division in South India in 1962 with almost 150 personnel working. He planted a sapling at the local post office and examined the premises. Later speaking to the media, he commented that though the building had taken some damage after Jai Andhra movement in 1972, it had not been repaired until now. He assured that he would discuss with telecom minister regarding the issue. He suggested that a new building was provided for the post office in an acre land. He also said that the Government should establish a new division in Markapuram.
